Ericsson probed by US over alleged corruption in China

US powers are examining Swedish telecoms goliath Ericsson over cases of debasement in its Chinese operations, the Svenska Dagbladet daily paper reported late Thursday.

Ericsson affirmed in an announcement Friday that US authorities had "various inquiries" identifying with its exercises without giving further points of interest.

"We won't give any nitty gritty remarks on the solicitation thusly, yet can say that it identifies with Ericsson's against defilement program and inquiries identified with the Remote Degenerate Practices Act," said the organization.

"Ericsson participates with US Powers and works steadily to answer the inquiries."

The Swedish daily paper, which refered to "a few sources, autonomous of each other", said that the test was being driven by the US money related controller, the SEC, with help from the US Branch of Equity.

"A senior supervisor at Ericsson cautioned the CEO at the time, Carl-Henric Svanberg, to interests that Mats H. Olsson (an as of late terminated chief in Ericsson's Asian business) had in an Ericsson subcontractor," said the paper.
